World Minerals North America Announces Price Increases for Filtration and Functional Filler Products

World Minerals Inc., a Member of Imerys, will raise prices for products shipped within North America effective January 1, 2011. The increase will be 3 to 8%, subject to any provisions in individual contracts. The price increase is necessary to support further investment in manufacturing, quality systems, and new product technology, and to offset increased production, raw materials, and regulatory costs. The price increases will affect all diatomite, perlite, and silicate products. The energy surcharge will also remain in effect.
